1. In a recent interview from his tour bus, Kenny had the following to say about his music. "I do not think Im what some would call three chords and the truth of the traditionalists. The songs that I sing tell stories. I think they are the real-life.  I think that they hopefully remind people of their first date, the first kiss, the first time they fell in love, the first time they had their heart broke. Ive had people tell me that."

He went on to say; "I do recognize the fact that when we put together a live show, that's my main focus. Maybe our show is not as traditional as other artists of this format, but I think it's a good thing. Our show is really edgy. I cut my music that way. I think the stories are country. I think my singing is the land. But I like to make music in a live show that will make people realize that they've been to a concert.

 
2. After singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" recently at Chicago's Wrigley Field during in the 7th inning, Kenny took time out of his busy schedule to fly to The White House.

To stand for election? No lend his talent to sing  "The National Anthem " for the Baseball Hall of Fame T-Ball Game. Kenny compared his touring to be a lot like baseball. "I always say, and my boys are a bit like a baseball team, 6 months, 6 months. because it's a long season, and you start gearing up for it a long time before. It was fun, we have many friends in many teams over the years - because I think she feels about us. We've got lots of players who come out to our shows when they're not on the road, some even come up and sing with us. t rather surprising."

Kenny also played an acoustic-based 20-minute set as part of the dinner.

3. Well we've got a taste of Kenny's upcoming album when Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven finally hit the airwaves on the 10th Aug 08. Kenny said:  "Everything in this song is everything we all think. I don't know anyone who doesn't want to go to heaven, but nobody wants to go today. If you could not take at this time. You'd want to live, to do more things, to have more fun.

He felt it really didn't fit his Troubadour album, so he gave Kenny a call and they got together to give it a listen. Kenny jumped at the opportunity to record the song.

4.Ronnie Milsap Kenny is next Tuesday, take part to 26 August in Nashville, at a fundraiser in honor of the famous musical family to play in Nashville, the Bradley family. The Bradley family will receive the Dale Franklin Leadership Award for their contributions to the Nashville music scene. Owen Bradley was one of the best-known record labels in Nashville and his brother Harold was a session musician and has opened the first recording studio in Nashville. The Dale Franklin Award acknowledges leaders in the music industry that lead by example. Kenny's new XM Radio Channel 18 is now live, as of 26th Jul 08, and will run for a 2 month trial.

So if you're crusing and you have XM, tune in and give it a listen. Look for the new record "NOW That's What I Call Country", to be released next Tues 26th Aug 08.

Some great tunes on this one. Well if you're anywhere near Mansfield Mass on the 20th Sept, maybe you should consider a plan to attend Farm Aid. Kenny played Farm Aid once before back in 2005. They've fed us and kept us strong and healthy for how many generations? Growing up in a small town outside Knoxville, it was a big part of who we were, and it's something we shouldn't lose. It's a small thing, but a big deal."

8. We know the name of Kenny's next album will be entitled "Lucky Old Sun", and will be the first and only album so far on Kenny's own record label entitled "Blue Chair". Im not sure just yet, if the next album will appear, but theyre working on it. Did you know that Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland is dating Kenny's player Clayton Mitchell? Well, ya do now!

9.After the video  "Everybody wants to go to Heaven " was released, was in search of Bob Marley  "The Wailers " to be in the video. "They were so generous with us in terms of their time and the stories they'd tell us," Kenny said. I got to interview them for something we may do later.

The music they had a hand in creating is so universal."

10. And he credits Ernest Hemingway for his love of books. He says that she loves  "The Old Man and the Sea, " because it reminds him of a relationship. That one little book about a battle between an old fisherman and a big marlin is the book that hooked Kenny.

A review of Bon Jovi Greatest Hits.

If someone has been introduced for Bon Jovi at his "hair band days of his time demanding adult contemporary, and shows through the headlines of the Discovery Channel, it's just the charm of the band and catchy hooks are heavy blow.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, the members of Bon Jovi have done well for themselves, and their new greatest hits collection is a reflection of that.
Bon Jovi found their niche early in tribute anthem rock and power ballads.
From "Livin' On A Prayer" to "It's My Life," their songs are on the edge of inspirational, holding short of saccharin.

While presenting the songs of Bon Jovi Greatest Hits 1983 period, it is difficult to feel the difference during the years of the song from the perspective of the production.
It retains a timeless quality, perhaps because 80s cliché's, strange synths and over-the-top guitar solos, barely creep into just two of the tracks, "Bad Medicine" and "Born To Be My Baby.
"The only song really " hair-band "cringe worthy song is the band's first hit " Runaway.
" Even so, it's forgivable because the band's true voice still comes through, and it's still a good tune. and was historically significant for their future success.

The only departure from their heavy sound in the one-disc version of "Greatest Hits" is the country-inspired "Who Says You Can't Go Home," a duet with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland.
Sounds a little out of place alongside the rest of the collection of hard rock, but this route better than the rock version, and thus their integration.

For total fans, the Ultimate Version of "Bon Jovi's Greatest Hits" includes a second disc with songs that, while not chart toppers, include some of the band's best work.
These sounds are countries like the "Lost Highway ", the sweet "(You Want To) Make A Memory ", and Rock-Harder-help "Keep The Faith."

The only place this album lets down the listener is the new, never-before released numbers.
The lone standout among the new songs is on the second CD of Bon Jovi Ultimate Collection "This Is Life This Is Love".
"This track is as hard-hitting an anthem as any of Bon Jovi's best, worthy of becoming a single with the band's signature lyrics and beat married perfectly.
The second disc is another new song is "The More Things Change " is schizophrenic in nature.
The opening notes set the listener up for more hard rock, but then deliver a bit of a country or southern rock tune about how things in the music business today are the same as they were when the band started, by listing things that have changed in the past few years.
The message seems confusing.

The new songs on disc one are "What Do You Got?" and "No Apologies.
 "Both songs are decent, but " No Apologies "sounds like it would be more at home on an album by Meat Loaf here.

Overall, though, fans new and old cannot deny the staying power of a band that survived the backlash of 80s metal and has kept going through the years with very few changes to its sound.
Good music is always resistance, and "Bon Jovi Greatest Hits " is good music, no matter the decade.
It's worth a good close look.

He says: "American family farmers are what built this country on. They've fed us and kept us strong and healthy for how many generations? If I am part of it can help - whether it's fundraising and awareness, or just let the family farmers know someone knows and - well, so I have to come to Boston. It's a small thing, but a big deal.

The best songs of 2011 Karaoke - Country and Pop

Now that 2010 is come and gone, we look back on the year and see what the best songs of educational sales both pop and country. Although there are reviews that are very similar in nature, this Pop and Country Karaoke Review is different in that it shows what people that sing wanted to perform, not just what people that love Today's Music wanted to listen to. Here are our Top Ten selection of sales, applications and popularity, the first list and then the pop-country list. Many discs that we sold during the year had several of these songs on the same disc so there is no concrete method in determining the principal song the buyer was interested in when purchasing the disc. In other words, our decisions are not exactly 100 percent what songs topped the list for the year 2010 will be considered, but we think that approaches.

2011 Top Karaoke Pop Songs

#1 - Need You Now - Lady Antebellum ( Yes, a country group tops the 2011 Pop Music Chart; this song's pop mix version has electric guitar replacing the country guitar twang in the chorus and the bridge.
When I heard this song I thought I\d never heard of, many believe it is similar to Eye In The Sky Alan Parsons.
I think it's chorus is similar to 'More Than Words Can Say' by Alias)

#2 - California Gurls by Katy Perry - (Katy Perry has proven to be not just a flash in the pan but a bonafied Pop Star. I for one thought his career would be published only short-lived, as his first single was entitled I Kissed A Girl- Top 40 American fans are fickle and forgetful. But here she is two years later with her 2nd album that has spawned 3 #1 Hits, including California Gurls. The song is catchy with the line of Daisy Dukes, bikinis in the foreground. She does need someone to help her in the spelling department)

#3 - Hey, Soul Sister by Train - (We may have thought that Train was ancient history because it had been five years since they had any Pop Chart Success.
But three years of it in the break and lookie now, Hey, Soul Sister brought the group back from the dead.
Who would have thought that a song with a ukulele as the lead instrument could top the charts? Maybe Tiny Tim would have, but who remembers him?)

#4 - TiK ToK by Ke$ha- (A catchy tune justifiably compared to 'Just Dance' by Lady Gaga, this song could be a cookie cutter pattern of the many dance numbers on American Top 40 today)

#5 - Nothin' On You by B.or. B - (This debut single from artist B. or. B features Bruno Mars on guest vocals, but the karaoke version can obviously be sung as a single artist. )

#6 - Pink Glitter In The Air - (This song is on an entirely new level rose.
It is a bluesy, emotional, heartfelt ballad and therefore it was heavily requested.
She led the song at the Grammy Awards 52 Cirque du Soleil-style performance)

#7 - Bad Romance of Lady Gaga - (Another shot of unpredictable Lady Gaga.
 Features of this song have been compared to her earlier hit 'Poker Face'. )

#8 - Today was a story of Taylor Swift - (A nice little ballad featured on the soundtrack of Valentine. Although at times I find myself wincing at some of Taylor Swift's off-key live performances, I appreciate most of all her ballads, as do many karaoke singers. Add your voice, her instrumental arrangements, and no matter what sounded like his live performance.)

#9 - Only Girl (In the World) by Rihanna - (Rihanna continues her string of success, with this uptempo dance tune. This song has become his number one nine, more than any other artist since 2000)

#10 - Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars - (This song is a remake of the song with the same title by Billy Joel.
It is an original composition that is just so sappy that it can make you cry. Most every girl, girlfriend, wife or shame, this song is sung, they have is exactly like the official video for this song. This great video and convincing vocals from Bruno Mars has made this one of the most requested Karaoke Songs for 2011)

Top 2011 Karaoke Country Songs

#1 - Need You Now by Lady Antebellum (This song obviously has broad appeal, topping both the Country and Pop 2011 Karaoke Charts. The fact that it's a duet, since it helps a lot of karaoke enthusiasts for a song that you sing with someone else can find, but there may be a track karaoke singers just sing the whole song is solo.)

#2 - The House That Built Me by Miranda Lambert - (This song is about returning to your childhood home that is now occupied by other people. The hope is, is a former car there again, to cure the problems caused by stress and unspecified real life. The request is made to come in just one last time and "I won't take nothing but a memory.)

#6 - Hillbilly Bone by Blake Shelton (This uptempo country ditty is a statement of rural pride.
Note the line: "We all had a deep bone Hillbilly ".)

#7 - Stuck Like Glue by Sugarland (A catchy tune that, if it weren't for Jennifer Nettle's obvious country lead vocals, could pass for a Pop Song)

#8 - Cowboy Casanova by Carrie Underwood - (a late 2009 release that actually peaked in January 2010.
This song is happy and as the first of Carrie Underwood hit "Before He Cheats " in the sense that the message is a warning to the girls, men infidels)

#9 - rain is a good thing Luke Bryan - (sounds like a country song is either going to have a story to tell or a hook development. For this song by Luke Bryan the development of the theme is this: "Rain is a good thing," because "rain makes corn, and corn makes whiskey, and whiskey makes my baby feel a little frisky". Apparently common, but it worked)

#10 - Only Prettier by Miranda Lambert - (The message of this song is that the girls of the city and the country girl is basically the same except that the Land of the girls are simply the best.)

So, if you are a singer, 2011 gave you plenty of new music to choose from. Sometimes it seemed that there were no good new music out there. However it may seem that way because you've gotten into the habit of listening to your 'iPod' with your pre-selected choices in music. Start listening to the radio or habit often turn on a music channel, then you will find many new selection to choose from.
